Not that buying online is a bad thing; in fact you can find some great deals on your supplies. Finding many locations that will sell you sets that will allow you to begin your new career as soon as you get it. Just remember when you get those supplies; you still need to learn how everything works.

You will need to also buy supplies that will let you keep your machine clean and germ free. Some of these choices are a bit more expensive. If you decide to stay in the business you may want to buy a little autoclave to keep those tools sparkling clean and free from infection.

If you decide to go with those steel tips you are going to have to find a way to get them very clean. An autoclave will be your best option. Though they will run you quite a bit of money, if you plan on sticking with this it will be worth the cost.

However, if you plan on getting an apprenticeship with a shop, you can use those disposables to learn at home. They will have the cleaning equipment that you will need at the shop. Just keep in mind that you will not be tattooing right away. As an apprentice you will need to work your way up in the shop before you move to being an artist.

However, like many artist you may find that the quality of many of these tubes that are disposable are not up to par. Instead you may have many times that you have to throw one away before you are completed with your tattoo job. The best thing to do is weigh the cost before you decide on this option.

However, at first you can purchase inexpensive equipment at many locations, like eBay, or even Amazon. They will require no proof that you work in a store. Compare these prices and what you will receive with the kit before you agree to the purchase.

If you find the way to the right shop, you will be able to watch and learn from people who started out just like you did. Finding the best place should mean visiting a shop and just watching a bit to see how the boss is to the other artists. Get one that seems to appreciate the work of his artists and you may have a way to make it to the top of the ranks in the future.

After you have gotten better and have drawings available head to a local shop to see if you can join the ranks. You will be working hard and putting in long hours, most of the time with very little pay. But if you keep up with the hard work they will give you a shot at actually doing tattoos.
