The Problem Of Product Selection In Internet Marketing

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

Making money on the Internet is not as easy as many people would have you believe. It does take effort to get things in place so that you CAN make money. Things like creating a site, creating content and promoting your site to get traffic.

We would all like to believe that it IS easy to make money on the Internet. After all, who wouldn’t want to be able to make lots of cash with little effort? Unfortunately it takes a lot more than a little effort to make money. In theory it is simple – you merely have to place the right product in front of people who require a solution to a problem. If you do that, the money will just roll in.

Unfortunately each of these topics in itself can present a million of challenges to even an experienced technical person. Niche markets – you do your research, you find what looks like a gold mine. Lots of demand and what looks like low-ish competition. Some pay per click ads, which indicate that other people are spending and making money in the market.

Then you start looking for a product. There aren’t any! At least not any worth selling or reselling as an affiliate. So, the gurus will tell you, this is the ideal market then to CREATE your own product. The problem is that you might be one of those few people with a bit of integrity left on the Internet. The theory is that you do some minimal research, or even pay a barely English speaking outsourced person on Elance a couple of bucks to ‘create a product’ that you can then sell. I have seen some of those so-called products. You can pick up various versions of them on Master Resale Rights sites or PLR (Private Label Rights) sites. These products such say enough about the problem that people are trying to solve to fill about 30 pages without offering a real solution. Those types of products are not real products that one can sell with a clear conscience. They are regurgitated information found in Wikipedia and EzineArticles.

Or the product marketplace is dominated by such a popular, big brand product that even though the competition is low, you will never manage to sell anything since everyone will just go for the ‘big brand name’. For which you might get 3% affiliate commission if you are lucky enough to find a place that offers you a commission. They don’t need the commission; they sell enough of these products in any case!

Basically the biggest problem of making money on the Internet is finding the right product to promote to the right group of people. Now isn’t that a true but trite statement!

SEO Is All About Publishing And Marketing Strategy

Friday, October 8th, 2010

Many of our clients and online business partners have asked us on numerous occasions – What is SEO “search engine optimization” and how can it benefit our company or personal web site? Do we need to hirer someone for seo services or can we do it ourselves? Well, we as professional search engine marketers (and have had tons of experience in our field) have always take the stance that, seo is extremely important for any web site on the internet.

SEO is a selling point for companies who are in website design. It helps to differentiate from others in the sale of a website or even web related services. The design of the site must first build the brand and present a viable marketing strategy, resulting in higher conversion rates and profitability.

SEO is no different than marketing any position if you want to address a group of people, it is best to hire someone who specializes in doing just that. In a traditional corporate environment, one would not ask a member of his or her research team to create a direct marketing campaign for emailing.

SEO is changing as it adapts to new technologies. At the same time, it closes the circle right back to the roots of what the web originally started.

SEO is all about publishing and marketing strategy that comes from keyword research. Most designers do not understand this concept and therefore they do not understand how SEO works.

Most of the larger search engines can see the link to your website and the importance of voting, it is also important as part of the link. The search engine is not paying attention to Meta tags. Search engines have robots that are well written now a days. The the much larger search engines probably went to some search engine spider college so they now understand English. They can tell what you have written without you having to tell them.

Spot On SEO Tips

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Most internet marketers think search engine optimization tips refers to a tutorial to get backlinks. Unfortunately for many of these IMers, they will spend entirely too much money on getting backlinks to help their non-optimized websites to rank and generate money.

Without learning proper SEO tips, all the backlinks in the world are only going to get your website so high in the SERPs. Moreover, with a properly SEO’d website, you will have little need for massive backlinks – a few well-placed links will do.

But why do so many IMers avoid learning proper SEO? Is it laziness – since anyone can find a backlinking service, software or gimmick? Is it due to this idea that Google engineers wield PhD’s and have the IQ of Braniac? Why is SEO so intimidating, and why aren’t more would-be “webmasters” doing more of it?

The answers vary, but possibly it boils down to the fact that buying more links is so much easier than trying to learn effective SEO tips, with shifting algorithms and the endless roll of new products. Case in point:

  • Google “Florida Update”
  • Google’s “.info Crackdown”
  • Google Instant

The big 3 search engines will not stop improving, never stop changing, never stop evolving – this is search engine optimization to the core.

It is established that many will not bother to ever learn the SEO tips that can increase their website performance and ultimately their profit. This despite the myriad tutorials on the subject online, many of which seem to say the same things. Do you know why they are so repetitive? Because SEO doesn’t change at its core. Here are SEO tips to take to heart:

  1. Read what the big three search engines say in their webmaster documents, they tell you what to do and what to avoid.
  2. Do not violate these rules.
  3. Do not think that SEO is replaced by spammy links.
  4. Try to study one guide at least on SEO.
  5. Use SEO auditing applications to improve your SEO, like SEO PowerSuite.

Sure, these may seem like they’re much too oversimplified – but they work. Successful SEO doesn’t require a sheepskin degree, despite Google and Bing, etc., employing very intelligent engineers on their teams. These same engineers and search engines created the webmaster sections in order to help you create websites that make their search engines look good.

A huge reason that many IMers will not succeed is that they do not bother to learn simple SEO tactics. This laziness and fear of the unknown is a great way to hand your rankings to your competition. If you do not have a properly optimized website, then you will likely compensate with an onslaught of costly backlinks that get you nowhere.

Optimize your website before backlinking anything. And you can go to SEOBook.com and get a free 7 day set of lessons to give you an orientation, and for another resource you can consider poking around SEOMoz or WordTracker – they have another guide or two.

Those places are but a few informative authorities on this subject of SEO. Here are 7 steps that you can use to get started in your quest to SEO your websites.

  1. Find Great Keywords, Lower Competition If Possible
  2. Put Keywords In Your Domain Name, URLs, Post Titles, Tags and Categories
  3. Use The Keywords In Your Meta Data (Title Tags, Description, Keywords)
  4. Use The Keywords Naturally In Your Content
  5. Tag Your Images With The Keywords Using “Alt” Tags
  6. Use Your Keywords As Anchor Text In Your Backlinks
  7. Get Plenty Of High Quality Backlinks

These are strong ways to SEO a website for optimal performance – and this is not “hard” to do, especially once you have good keywords to use. The easiest way to optimize a website is to dig for them using software and then analyze how competitive the first page is for these terms.

You will make your life much easier if you find software that is able to give you a report auditing your website SEO, and there is software out there that can advise you on what actions to take to increase your on-page SEO. Also, finding linking partners to build legitimate 1, 3 and 4 way links with is a great way to boost your search engine position, using software that will help you operate in these search engine optimization tips.

As opposed to wasting time on pricey links, use SEO PowerSuite to help first. The free version of SEO PowerSuite gives all you really need to get to No.1.

Rank On The Top With SEO Marketing

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

SEO is an excellent selling point for website design companies. It aids to be distinguished from other’s when selling a website or even web related services. The design of the website must first build the brand and present a viable marketing strategy which results in higher conversion rates and profitability.

SEO is no different than any other marketing position in that if you want to target a group of individuals, it’s good to hire a person specialized in doing so. In a traditional corporate environment, you wouldn’t ask a member of your analytic team to create a direct mail marketing campaign.

SEO is the idea that can make a website rank on the top list and achieve excellent traffic. Hiring an SEO service one time does not mean you can have your website on the top list forever. SEO is a thought procedure of using specific search marketing tools and ideas for creating a profitable business. SEO is making specific company determinations based on previous knowledge that will ultimately impact bottom line profitability.

SEO is evolving as it adapts to technologies like Wiki engines, blogs, Facebook and Flash. At the same time, it is coming full-circle by getting back to the roots of what the web really is.

SEO is mostly about the publishing and marketing strategy that comes out of keyword research. Most designers don’t grasp this idea and therefore misinterpret how SEO works.

Google especially see’s links to your site as a vote of importance and it also places high importance of the context of the link. Google no longer pays attention to Meta tags, and Google is still the biggest in our opinion. Google spiders are very literary these days. They have been to Spider College learning English, and can now tell what you are writing about without you having to tell them.

What’s WordPress Web Design All About?

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Basically, the most attractive feature of WordPress is that it’s free. Superior for web designers with tight purse strings, there are a variety of free plug-ins to choose from as well. There’s no license fee to pay, and you have total control over the way in which it is used. It sticks to the most current web standards and provides superior user efficiency. For further information, go to www.wordpress.org.

It is easy to build both static and dynamic pages with the software. Plus, it is possible to update content on a continual basis, which is the reason that web designs based on WordPress are so popular with search engines. When a site is updated on a regular basis, its rankings are boosted as Google crawls it more frequently. Users do not have to be familiar with html either, since the WYSIWIG linking tool allows anchor text links to be added easily to other pages of a site or to external sources.

For example, blog posts could be included in categories and tagged, which increases their visibility in Google, Yahoo, etc. That also increases exchanges within your audience who might make comments about your posts, which could produce more traffic if someone ‘retweets’ it on Twitter.

In addition, WordPress is simple to set-up and learn, which makes it an excellent choice for web designers who have clients who may not be technologically savvy but who are interested in managing their own content. The ‘saleability’ of WordPress designs is enhanced by the control panel that is a snap to use.

There are so many plug-ins and templates available online that WordPress designs can go head to head with those created by other programs as far as aesthetics and functionality. And different ones are put out all the time because of the Open Source nature of WordPress.

It is possible to customize WordPress sites to meet certain design requirements, and it is especially easy to add additional pages without affecting the quality or content in the other parts of the website. Free plug-ins, such as contact forms, calendars, photo albums, the setting up of polls, and so on, are available for those who want extra features for their web pages.

So it is surely worth considering WordPress the next time you are creating a website or looking for a new design for an existing website.

SEO: What Is It And Why Do We Need It?

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

To put it succinctly, what this refers to is the method of increasing the chance of your website being among the top results shown by a search engine, based on the keywords utilized to effect the search.

Begin with a Website Design that is Solid

A website design that is structured and written well is the most important beginning factor in SEO. This is the foundation that you build everything on. SEO will not work well unless you have a good website design to back it up. It will fall apart, no matter how hard you try to keep it together.

What is the Timeframe Involved With This?

Alright, well now that you have begun a thorough SEO strategy, how much time will go by until you notice results. To be reasonable, do not expect to see any actual positive outcome until one to six months of thorough SEO and marketing efforts have been carried out. Think of this long-term solution as an investment. Take comfort and have patience, a good SEO campaign can be rewarding and there are too many marketing methods to discuss.

SEO – A Strategic Investment

The specific algorithm that Google or Yahoo employs to decide page rank is a carefully kept proprietary secret known only internally. But we do know enough about how search engines rank websites that we are able to develop SEO strategies that are successful, when used properly. There aren’t any special tricks or methods that will earn you the top Google ranking right away. Implementing a total, well-rounded, SEO strategy is the key to elevating page rank, and this requires time as well as effort. We can no longer just ‘keyword stuff’ or improve page ranking through the use of hidden content. Today’s search engines are ‘smart,’ and for SEO to yield results, you will need content that is meaningful, social networking skills, well-written articles, and an emphasis on marketing strategies.

You must have a great web design before you begin your marketing research.

You need to know which keywords to optimize for. Keyword focus should be determined by looking at search volume. Why bother putting a lot of emphasis on a keyword phrase when nobody is using those keywords in the searches? You must determine two or three keyword phrases for the best description of your service or business. Concentrating on these keyword phrases will get you a niche that you can zealously go after.

Google and Yahoo

In order to find products and services on the Internet, most computer users utilize a major search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Thus, the goal of SEO is mainly to earn the best page ranks on Google and possibly on Yahoo. Page rank refers to where a website is placed in search results — the higher the number, the better. Usually a computer user will only look at the first two or three pages of search results when they do a search on the Internet for a business. Most people are under the impression that businesses that appear within the first page or two of search results are somehow better than the ones that appear further down the list. It is obvious that if you wish to generate leads or grow your Internet business using your website, your website must appear near the top of the list for the keywords with which your business is associated.

Web Search Engine Optimization

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

The success or failure of your website depends mostly on how they perform in the most common search engines and also to your knowledge of search engines. Web search engines do not care if your articles turn out as the top or the worst ranked article, it is your job to maximize the potential of all your articles and give them a better chance of landing high ranks in search engine results.

The best way to invite clients into your site is through search engine optimization (SEO). SEO basically has three steps, first, think of the best fitting keywords for your article or site. Second, try to merge these keywords for better chance of hits and lastly, mention the keywords multiple times in your article.

The primary goal of SEO is to improve search engine rankings to such an extent that a link to your site or your article appears in the first or second result displayed in the biggest search engines in the net. You want this very high ranking to invite constant traffic to your site to maximize profit. The higher your site’s ranking is, the better is your chance of stimulating the users to visit your site.

The first step in SEO is to select a keyword or key phrases that your article of the entire site will focus on. Your article and your site as well must contain these keywords consistently to optimize your rankings. One of word of caution, do not over do your keywords, search engines also have features to detect spamming. Another tip is to include the search keywords in the title of your documents.

Obviously, the most efficient and user-friendly way to boost the ranking of your site is to create website content that are totally useful to the search engine users. One way to achieve this is to write articles that are suitable to your audience. If your audience are professionals, try to include in-depth discussions but if your audience are walk-through readers, give them a brief and concise article.

Because of the onset of SEO abuse, the leading search engines are trying to employ a new search strategy. They are now trying to monitor the sites that their regular users are visiting, and they give high rankings to these sites. This assures the searchers that the sites in the top results page are of high quality. To learn more about this new development, please visit http://www.usearchme.com

How To Get Top Ten Rankings In Google With On Page Search Engine Optimisation

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Title Tags. Just as the title of a book or the name of a person or a business is very important, the title that you give to your web pages is equally important. The title tags are usually underestimated by the web designer. Ask your web designer what title tags are- they should be able to tell you exactly what they are and more importantly, why they are essential to your search engine placement. Re-writing your title tags with relevant keywords in the title will make it much easier for the search engines to find your web page.

The meta description is written to explain, primarily to the search engine spiders, exactly what is on that particular web page. Google often (but not always) uses the meta description to explain the result that is returned to the user in the results of the search being performed. Re-writing the meta descriptions sometimes get a better click through to your site as you can guide the user towards your site by using benefit orientated copy to entice the potential customer through to your site.

The meta keywords file is a file embedded in the code of the website designed to let search engine spiders know exactly what the website and web page is about. Nowadays, the file is of lesser importance as Google amongst other search engine spiders do not even look at it. Other search engine spiders do actually look at the file so it is worth making sure that the file is relevant and correct.

The amount of times that a keyword phrase is featured on a website can be a great or an awful thing. Keyword density is an important feature and cannot be overlooked. A density of too high or even too low can be a massive problem. Too many keywords and the pages become unreadable for the reader, too few and the search engines will throw the relevance of the keywords aside. It would be best to write naturally for the reader and make the copy on the web page compelling and befitting your business.

Header tags (like H1, H2, etc.) are the html way of saying that a piece of information is important. There is a hierarchy of tags, H1 being the highest or most important and so on. Please don’t make the mistake of just stuffing keywords into the header tags, however if you discretely use this feature, your performance in the search engines will definitely benefit as a result.

Image Alt tags. Did you know that the image alt tags were important to your search engine efforts? As well as being a very useful source of additional traffic through image searches, you can also make the site easier to read for sight impaired visitors and gain useful additional traffic. Whilst this can be a separate subject in its own right, it is important to pay attention to this area.

8 Great Tips: Selecting a Professional Search Engine Optimization (seo) Service

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Most company’s marketing mix complies of PPC, Buying ad’s, Link Swaps and generally thing’s that end up costing them a whole load of money and are increasing day by day. Yet still the most critical component is still being neglected, search engine optimization.

Because of this, the Search engine optimization industry is huge and only getting bigger day by day. However that also means that new seo company’s offering you the most amazing service on paper just simply fail to deliver and finding a professional and a reliable company at that becomes a very daunting task.

Search engine optimization firms employ varying methods to get high rankings for websites and not all of these techniques are considered ethical. With the increasing number of ‘black hat’ SEO firms, (companies using unethical and unfair methods and techniques to manipulate search engines), and the thin line between actual ‘black hat’ and ‘white hat’ SEO practices, it is crucial to be well informed of the methodology the company plans to use for your website before you decide to hire them.

Here you will now find 8 simply tricks that you really do need to use in order to keep your site safe and to help you choose a trustworthy search engine optimization service provider:

1. You need to first understand the basics, do your homework on an seo company before you spend your hard earned cash with them. You need to know exactly what the service is going to provide to do this. You can find loads of basic seo information all over the internet, so get searching on google and get learning, this will save you alot of time and money in the future!

2.Fee structures and your budget There are no standardized fee structures and most companies offer a range of packages instead. A package may in itself contain a variety of services like keyword research, optimization of a certain number of pages, directory submissions etc. Selecting a company should not be only about cost. A firm that charges more may not necessarily be better at SEO and likewise a firm that charges less may not necessarily be providing you the same services. Use prudence while understanding pricing models and the risks behind them. One way to go about deciding what your budget should be is to first identify your website’s and business’ unique needs, tailor a package to meet these requirements and then compare firms’ pricing models to decide a realistic baseline budget.

3. Size of the seo company. Alot of the newer search engine optimization firm’s are a one man operation and this may not fit your requirements. If you need a big job doing then you need a bigger firm with more people who can carry out your service.

Another point is that you need to make sure the firm you choose specializes in all areas of seo that they fully understand what they are doing. Too often i see services offered by people who only know how to do that one single thing, these people actually put your site at more risk than helping it.

4.Location The location of the firm largely depends on your comfort level. You may favor a local company or one at least within your country or prefer to outsource completely to another country to benefit from their lower costs. There are also few companies using a blended offshore delivery model with marketing and client services offices in one country and the actual design and development work being done in another. With the combination of lower costs plus client servicing available within reach, this upcoming balanced model may be a good option to consider.

5. Company Reputation. References from previous client’s should be made available all over the company’s site and if not then why not? ask for them. Make sure that the previous client’s were happy and even go as far to contact them if they have contact information.

6. Policy’s. A lot of company’s don’t offer any sort of guarantee in rankings and it shouldn’t. It is very normal for them to say you will get more traffic and rankings from where it is now but to guarantee a specific ranking is wrong and cannot be completely controlled by them. So make sure you understand this!

7. Company Ethics. As we said before the firm’s ethics are very very important, if they are going to go out and spam your site everywhere and call that professional seo then they should be in for a shock. Not only will it hurt your site in the long run, any raise in positions that they do achieve will only be short term and by the time you see them drop their guarantee period will have run out and your left off worse than before.

8.Reporting and success measurement Some of the key questions to ask – How long will it take to see results? What type of reports will the SEO firm furnish and how often? How will success be measured? Will a maintenance plan be included?

It is largely up to you to define the goal and success level of your SEO campaign. It may be an increase in the traffic to your site, potential leads from a mailing list subscription, or an increase from last years sales. Make it a point to discuss and articulate your goals with the SEO firm and come to an agreement before you hire them. It is however important to set realistic expectations. Unlike PPC and other forms of paid advertising, SEO is a time consuming process, both in terms of implementation as well as results.

To conclude, hiring a SEO services firm can have a significant impact on your company’s bottom line, however the decision to partner with a particular SEO firm should only ensue after a careful evaluation of the firm and after you have done the groundwork necessary to help you decide your own goals for the program.

So now going on from there i can recommend the following company to buy backlinks from which i have used many times before and who will run a full seo service for you at a reasonable price and who’s backlinks rank your website.
