We will show you H.264 standard definition video playback on ARM NEON processor on our OMAP3 reference design board. For this demo, the video content is decoded from an SD card and displayed on 4″ WVGA LCD.

Ingenient has significant expertise in embedded multimedia and optimization utilizing hardware accelerators. On a 600MHz ARM Cortex-A8/NEON used for this demo, a half of its processing power is free for other applications to run simultaneously; it can be used for low-cost applications such as PMP, MID, PND and DTV receivers.

Imagine recording full high definition video from a camera and HDTV as part of your Digital Video Recorder (DVR).

We provide H.264 Main Profile, HD video recording at 1920×1080 resolution at 30 frames per second on TI DM6467. Our encoder and decoder are connected through the network, with HD content for input and outputs to HDTV for this demo. We can show our demo with camera input, and in the near future, through HDMI.
