It has never been easier to spice up a room with out a whole lot of fuss or expense. I’ve always cherished the appearance of wall murals. When I visit some restaurants and I see the walls painted with designs or I see a kid’s room in magazines with painted murals I always think I wish I could manage to achieve that in my children’s rooms.
I would love a tree with flowers and animals or perhaps a whole wall with Thomas the Train and his pals. I even contacted some artists that promote in our local kid’s magazine however the price was just way more than I could afford.
These days you don’t have to sacrifice the room of your dreams since it is too much money. You can get the look you want for less with wall decals and murals for a fraction of the cost of painting. You’ll find so many patterns to choose from for both children and adults.
I started experimenting in my own room to make sure it was simple and that it would look right. The tree and cherry blossoms we added to our decor really look wonderful. They add a new dimension to the space and also the great thing is if I decide to modify my room they peel right off without having to mess up the paint underneath.
Doing this together with my daughter was so enjoyable. She made the decision on the combination of stickers to develop an eclectic design. She got Peace Sign Wall Stickers by Roommates to match her peace sign pillow cases along with the Giant Daisy Peel & Stick for an extra pop of color.
She also wanted the Peace Dry Erase Wall Decal so she could make notes and keep herself organized. At 9 years old she definitely has her personal ideas about how her room should appear like. It was enjoyable to look at her think and create.
Obviously, the most effective part was to spend time with her when she chose her designs and then as we put them up together we noticed her artwork come to life.
Considering that each set she selected was less than $30.00 we entirely changed the look of her room, spent time together on an enjoyable activity, and did not break the bank in the whole process.

Do you have a teenager in your house? Want to redo her room? Do you want something that reflects her personality in her room? Well, you can actually do that. But before you do that, you have to clear out all the old things in her room. You might want to remove the old wall colors and room theme as well. You might wonder as to what you need to leave behind. Do manage to leave the essential items like the bed, mirror, appliances and such.
You do have to remember that not all girls love pink. Have a good conversation with your daughter. Ask her as to what she wants in her own turf. Ask her what color of the wall she wants, a desired theme, and the things she wants inside. Remember, it isn’t your place that you are decorating, it’s hers.
With so many choices to choose from, your child will probably need some help in deciding even when it comes to the kind of pillows. You can let her choose between bolster pillows or something else. You can even suggest decorative shelving. Do remember that you are just there to help her decide. You don’t have to make the decision for her. She’s a teenager; teenagers are capable of deciding things.
Teens can be artistic and they even want something funky. Not much teenagers appreciate a minimalistic design. Once she has finally decided on things, you are set to decorate things. Begin by doing the wall paint. Say for example she likes blue; you can paint the walls in different shades of blue. Try to include sky blue, baby blue, ocean blue and all the other shades of blue.
Now for the fabric, you need to take in consideration some things. You have to go with the kind of fabric that she likes. Next, you have to choose one wherein a stain can easily be removed. And lastly, get the fabric that can add warmth to the room.
Women adore themes. Her room theme should show her personality. If she loves arts and theater, her place can have a Broadway theme. If she loves ball games, you can add some accessories that can relate to sports.
If you think her furniture is all worn out, you can buy her new ones. Use ones that have multiple functions like good decorative shelving. It has both aesthetic and storage purposes. You can even add in bolster pillows in her bed because the more pillows, the better.

The two countries most famous for designed paper lanterns are China and Japan. These lanterns are now popularly used as decorative lighting in most countries for illuminating many events.
