This is a track put together in Linux using LMMS or Linux Multimedia Studio. All sounds are generated internally and LADSPA plugins are used for all processing.

Software:
LMMS – Linux Multimedia Studio

Linux OS

LADSPA – effects plugins

This is a re-upload to fix some clarity, cropping and sync issues. This IS the last up…until something else comes up. lol

LMMS is pre-release so some basic features are still missing but…THIS IS LINUX…whaaaat!!!
There is something about getting something done in Linux that makes it more fulfilling than doing it in any of the popular OS’s. I don’t know if that comes from having overcome any obstacles or from knowing that your OS can be exactly what you want it to be if you are willing to learn how.

If you use it with Jack and also if your latency is too low it’ll be choppy. I used the internal plugins but tweaked the setting a little. You can use soundfonts with it as well – that’s where the piano, bass and drums are from.

Thanks! There are a couple of percussion loops in the audiofile player but all the other samples are soundfonts, the drums, piano, bass; all available freely online. The rest is all LMMS, like the main whirley Rhodes type sound and the pads.

    Fabulous! Demos …
Fabulous! Demos like this really help in figuring out what is possible and which projects are still “live”. The Csound-ish “music concrete” demos have a certain abstract appeal, but nothing like this.

Are the samples you’re using here included with LMMS, available elsewhere, made by you, or ?
