Follow These Rules For Successful Web Design

A beautiful website design can never compensate slow performance in any website design. Most amateurs and professional webmasters belief that the more visual and audio aids they use on their website, which means slower loading time, the better it is for the visitor, when it isn’t so.

There are five website design rules you can follow to help you build that optimal performance website that rocks.

1) Leave the splash pages for movies and advertisements. Splash pages makes up the first impression people have of a website. Made up of pretty designs, they are usually lavish images and graphics with accompanying words such as “welcome to our site” or “click here to enter”. They are merely fancy additions without any real functions at all. This page serves a good purpose to entertain but if website conversion is your goal, it can be a big barrier for you to achieve your goals.

2) Do not use excessive banner advertisements these are usually large adverts placed at the top of the web page but can also be at the bottom too. Banner ad tends to be ignored by most web surfers so it is a total majority of the web surfers so they would a total waste of your website space. Instead, provide more valuable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being coerced.

3) Always use an easy navigational system Navigation should be made very simple so that even a young child can understand. Do stay away from any form of Flash based menu or even multi-tiered menu as they only serve to add more complication to the layout. If you make it difficult for them, they will leave your site. Have a sitemap added to the website design to help them find what they are looking for.

4) Have a clear indication of where the user is. When you have successfully captured their attention and enjoying the whole experience perusing your website, you will want to make them know where they are at the moment without feeling lost. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. This can easily be achieved by ensuring each page has a title and a textual ‘breadcrumb trail’ that clearly shows the links they have made to get where they are now. Any type of confusion drives your visitors away.

5) Audios are a bad idea. If you wish for your visitors to stay long enough to read the contents, do not loop your music file in a way that irritates. The sounds when added can enhance an experience, but when played over and over gain it can start to be irritating. Using audios may not always be a good idea, if you have to include them be sure to allow for some form of user control such as volume or muting ability. By applying all these website design tips we share, you can expect to reap long term benefits from continuous traffic from returning visitors to your website.

Graphic Design Is In Vogue In The Web World

In the last few years, the internet has grown tremendously both in influence and reach, and the uptrend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. Many new sites are launched on the internet each day, and each one aims to be different from the rest. That is why graphic design plays a vital part in a website.

A visitor will always want to know more, and will look forward to exploring the services of a website with nice graphics. That is the power of good graphic design – it engages the visitors, which is the most important thing for anyone with a product or service to sell.

Graphic design is an age old idea and it has several applications. It is an integral part of all types of marketing and promotion done through various forms of media such as print, television etc. However, one thing that has changed entirely over the last few years is how graphic designs are developed.

There is great demand for good graphics on the internet, for which an entire new field has come up, with professionals specially trained for this kind of work. This has also meant that many new technologies and tools are now being used to create attractive and unique designs. A lot of people, who are not even formally trained in this field, are now using advanced graphic softwares like Photoshop. Thanks to the highly competitive graphic design market, new kinds of styles and methods are being developed all the time.

Although, that does not mean that anyone can get involved in graphic design. Some training and skill in sketching is necessary to become a good graphic designer. Second, you must be creative and be able to come up with unique ideas to create designs that compliment the product. If one wishes to provide designs for websites, a basic knowledge of their functioning is also required. One would need to know how websites are structured, and what techniques are used for developing light graphic designs.

Brand Your Blog

Is your blog interesting to anyone besides you? Do you want it to be? Sure you do. Blogs are public forums for you to share your unique thoughts and perspective, so if you don’t have much of a following, here are a few things you can do to make your blog it’s best.

Make a footprint in the blogosphere. Blogs are a dime a dozen these days, so you have to know what your blog is about. You also have to know how yours is unique in order for it to stand a chance against all the other ones out there. This is basically your brand, but if you do it well, you’ll earn a reputation and readers will come to your blog when word spreads.

Your blog has two audiences: humans and search spiders. You must entertain and inform them both. People need snazzy titles and content and spiders need topical information. Spiders will basically assign your blog a spot in the search engines, so it’s up to you to make sure you’re titling posts in a way that will help people find your blog for what you intend them too. If you make a title called Cat Nap, but your blog has nothing to do with cats, that won’t help people find you.

Blogging is a community. Participate in other people’s blogging efforts. Obviously, you have unique content, but there will be others doing similar things. You can take advantage of this in a positive way. Get to know these guys, comment on their posts, give and receive guest posts, link each other. Offer contests and giveaways and ask others to spread the word. Foster relationships with both readers and other bloggers.

Use all five senses. Sure, blogging is usually heavily weighted with text. But visitors will likely get bored if all you have is words, words, words. Add some video. Do a podcast. I haven’t figured out how to do scratch and sniff or make it tasty, but you get the idea. A variety of media in your content will make your blog much more attractive. I add a photo to every post to give a taste of the subject matter and hook the potential reader. Also, work your text to make it more visually interesting. Think about spacing, italics, font choice and color. And don’t forget that your voice is important. Whatever tone you use in your writing, it should be appropriate to your subject, relatable and interesting.

Show your character. The best blogs offer things we can’t easily get elsewhere. That includes new information like trade secrets, or a funny tone that makes us feel great after we’ve visited the blog and read a great post. That comes from people who take risks in their writing and info sharing. Of course it’s wise to decide ahead of time where to draw a line, but drive right up to that line and watch it reward you. Others will link to you and share your posts. Then it’s up to you to fulfill their expectations with great follow-up posts. If you do, you’ll be satisfied with the results.

Freelance Illustration Hungary – Luca Molnar

Over the last 5 or so years, there have been a number of strong, distinctive styles that have captivated many young designers in the industry. The unique mix seen in many of today’s best photo illustrators has become a dominate trend and one that is heavily sought after by employers, commissioners, art directors and art buyers alike.

Many leading design magazines and blogs display new media work which consists of photographic images mixed with vibrant vectors to create a bubbly and energetic mood. This is particularly apparent in the advertising industry and looks set to dictate for the coming years ahead.

I happened to come across one particular artist who I feel represents this style very well. Luca Molnar is a young graphic designer who is currently based in Hungary and operates as a freelancer, doing commissions and projects for a variety of companies.

Luca is busy with a number of projects at the moment and she currently has work with international clients. She is based in Hungary, but deals with clients in the UK, USA and beyond. After taking a look at her portfolio I saw a distinct style emerge and particularly enjoyed viewing her recent works for her latest US clients. She produces logos, stationary, letterheads, posters, adverts web sites etc., so pretty much all areas are covered.

Her work is very smooth and feminine, with a particular focus on females and swirls. This combination creates a very light a enjoyable viewing experience and reminds me of a UK design by the name of Radim Malinic. Her strengths are predominantly with Photoshop, with a touch of Illustrator or similar software to match. Her contemporary style is definitely suited to the music scene and I guess Luca’s musical tastes lean towards the RnB scene.

I’m guessing that most of her work will be in the music industry, as her portfolio leans towards that. She has produced a number of layouts for music artists in the RnB industry, which will inevitably generate more work in that field in future.

She is definitely building up her client base, as she has already worked with the likes of Leah Charles (UK), Coke Art Blog, Optisun (Hungary), Famous Dolls Magazine (Russia), Dorothy Perkins (UK), Shavonn Johnson & Company (USA) and Urban Melodic Entertainment (NewYork). You can contact Luca for any type of commission or freelance contract by visiting any of her profiles online. In years to come she could be one of Europe’s biggest and most reputable female designers.

Using Search Engine Optimization-Simple, Effective, Essential

SEO, otherwise known as Search Engine Optimization is a Internet marketing technique. The overall goal of SEO is to increase the ranking of your web-page or other web based content in the search engine databases of the major search providers. This is most effectively done by an Internet marketing company, one such company is Raxa Design, a Houston web design company. There are two methods that can be utilized with search engine optimization, on-page and off-page. Each of these methods offers a different advantage to the publisher in terms of increasing your page rank with the search providers. First, we need to understand a little about how Internet search works.

When you publish content on to the web for your prospective readers, it is critical that the information is visible and easily accessible when they need or want the information. The problem with this is that the Internet is so big, in fact its so huge that if each web page on the net were an actual piece of 8 .5″ by 11″ sheet of paper the amount of paper generated, would over fill a football stadium with the capacity of seating 100,000 people. In fact the Internet would not only fill the stadium completely but would do so an estimated 4 times total; and the Internet gets bigger every single day due in part to the work of Houston web design firms.

Now try to imagine your page in the middle of all that paper and your prospective customer being told to find it in less that 30 seconds with no assistance or guide as to how the papers were organized. SEO, a specialty of Houston web design firm, Raxa Design, is like the names in a phone book, with them and an understanding of how the book is logically organized any number can be found within say, a minute.

Search Engines scan every page on the Internet many times over the course of any given month, this may seem like a daunting task but consider this. A search engine company, such as GOOGLE, uses hundreds of super fast computers running 24 hours a day seven days a week, 365 days a year non stop; each of these computers is using a program called a spider to scan a web page. These “SpiderBots” as they are called can scan a page in less than a few seconds and send the data to other super fast computers for analysis, cataloging, organization and implementation to the search database system. Website companies such as Houston web design firm Raxa Design can help build the page to make it “spiderbot” happy. One such Houston web design is Raxa Design.

Each of the hundreds of search computers is capable of running dozens of spiderbots at one time, so hundreds and hundreds of pages are being scanned ever few minutes, non stop. These spiderbots are not really reading the page itself but are instead looking at certain types of information that is included in the page, this information is what they send back to the search organizer computers to help build and rank the database that is used to present result when a Internet user places a query to the search engine. This is the information that you need to make sure is “optimized” on your page by a Houston web design company, this is the main information that the spiderbot will see, this is the information that will help get your page found by prospective customers. This is a specialty of Houston web design company Raxa Design.

As you can see using SEO optimized by a Houston web design firm is essential to the success of your Internet marketing campaign. It’s easy to implement an effective search engine optimization scheme for your web content. Its even easier to let a specialist such as Houston web design specialist, Brian Waraksa, of Raxa designs, do it for you. The results are highly effective and very economical, considering the return on your relatively modest investment. Plus you save the time and trouble of doing the work yourself, instead placing it into the hands of the experts at a Houston web design. If you insist on Doing it yourself, there are many tutorials on how to do so all over the Internet, but to make the most effective use of it you should keep in mind the information you now have as to how information on the Internet is cataloged and how the user finds it online. To really make the most impact contact a Houston web design company, and let them tell you how they can improve the image and exposure of your business.
